Quality Improvement Scorecard

 

The Quality Improvement Scorecard reports on a wide range of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relating to Patient Safety. E.g. Mortality, Cardiac Arrests, Clinician staffing levels and Sign up to Safety metrics.

The scorecard is presented at the Quality Governance Committee (QGC) as an addendum to the Corporate Scorecard. It is used to highlight key issues in Patient Safety - particularly where improvements can and should be made. The scorecard is also used to celebrate improvements in performance within NGH.  

The QI team are also working with our clinical colleagues to develop Speciality Quality Improvement Scorecards to further understand how good we are relative to the best, understanding where variation exists and continually working towards improvement.

  • This scorecard has been in production since May 2016, and continues to change every month, as more metrics are added.
