I’m the clinical placement facilitator for NGH.

We have an exciting student placement model called PL@N (Placement Learning at Northampton).  This method allows the student to work closely with a registered nurse while being allocated patients to care for and giving the student a study hour to reflect on learning – our feedback is just great.

My role includes placing full time and part time student nurses. I also place our trainee nursing associates, as we are a pilot site for this dynamic new role.  I support registered staff with the exclusive RCN clinical leadership programme, provide information and support for mentorship options and other post-qualifying funded modules, offering a bespoke career pathway
