What are NHS Video Consultations?
NHS Video Consultations are powered by Attend Anywhere, a secure NHS video call service for patients with pre-arranged appointment times only. If you would like to have a video consultation then please contact the service currently seeing you.
How do I use the service?
You can use the video consultation software on a PC, Mac or an iOS/Android device. This service does not work on Microsoft Internet Explorer. We would reccomend using one of the following free browsers:
Five minutes before your appointment, click on the relevant service below. You will be taken through a series of steps to ensure that your camera and microphone is set up correctly. Once the steps have been completed, you will be prompted to enter your name and telephone number and accept the terms and conditions. This information is not stored beyond the length of the video call.
Once these steps have been followed, click on the 'Start Call' button and you will enter the waiting room until your consultation begins. You will see yourself on the video and hear music. The waiting room is private and you will not see other patients.
When the consultation is ready to begin, your image will shrink and move to the corner of the screen and you will see your clinician. The video call is free (except for your internet usage charge). Your data allowance is not used whilst you are in the waiting room, but will be used during the call. You should make sure you have a suitible allowance to avoid any unexpected data charges from your mobile provider.
The technology we use is completely confidential, private and secure. Your call cannot be accessed by anyone else.
