Team Ngh

Director’s introduction

So what makes joining our team so special?  The simple answer is that you’ll be joining a fabulous nursing and midwifery family.

We provide opportunities for leadership development, skills review and professional recognition in a culture of ongoing supported learning.

We’re all united in our aim to deliver excellence in nursing and midwifery care. That’s why it was our nurses and midwives who created our innovative strategy setting out just how we’re going to do that.

We’re making great progress towards becoming the first UK district general hospital to achieve Pathway to Excellence ® accreditation awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Centre.  That’s important to us because it recognises hospitals for creating a positive practice environment where nurses and midwives can flourish and grow - both professionally and personally.

We are one of only eleven test bed sites for the new nursing associate role in collaboration with our East Midland partners.  This exciting role will change the face of nursing across Northamptonshire and England and we are delighted to be at the forefront of welcoming this new role into our nursing family.

We have plans to maximise the potential of our nurses at NGH, support them to work at the "top of their license" through an exciting approach to advanced, specialist and enhanced practice.

We have an enthusiastic and committed practice development team who will work alongside you to create your personal development plan and help you achieve your career aspirations.  We have an excellent simulation suite supported by an experienced clinical team designed to help you achieve exemplary clinical skills.

This is a truly exciting time to join our team. We look forward to welcoming you to Team NGH.
