Cedar ward is located in Area A. From Car Park 1 enter the Hospital at the South Entrance, walk to Hospital Street, turn right and Cedar ward is at the end of the corridor opposite Hawthorn Ward (Get Directions)

Cedar ward has 28 beds on the main ward and 2 side rooms. The ward caters predominantly for orthopaedic trauma patients and we also care for patients from the medical directorate.
What do I need for my stay in hospital?
Toiletries, nightwear, slippers and daywear are important for your hospital stay. A small amount of money would be helpful for newspapers and confectionery. Please do not bring valuables and large amounts of money into hospital with you as the trust cannot accept responsibility if these personal items get lost or damaged.
Visiting hours are: 14.00-16.30 then 18.00-20.00
Visiting outside of the standard hours must be agreed with the Nurse in Charge.
If you would like to be actively involved in mealtimes with your relative please speak with the ward coordinator.
Please speak to the Nurse in Charge before bringing very young children into the Ward.
Only two visitors are allowed per bed.
Is there anything I shouldn't bring with me?
Flowers are not permitted on the ward.
What should I do once I get to the ward?
If you have any questions or concerns please speak with the Nurse in Charge of your relative or the Ward Co-ordinator.
We have an “It’s okay to ask about your cares and concerns” policy.
