Looking after your health and wellbeing is important when you have received a cancer diagnosis.
This can take many forms including getting yourself in the best shape before treatment starts - often called ‘prehab’ - which could mean stopping smoking before surgery, ensuring your dietary intake is optimum and keeping yourself physically active.
Rehabilitation is an important factor once you have completed treatment. While face-to-face options are not currently available due to the coronavirus pandemic you can access information online (see below), speak to your Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), telephone the team at the Macmillan cancer information centre at Northampton General Hospital on (01604) 544211 or contact the Macmillan cancer information and support service at Kettering General Hospital by e-mail - email@example.com.
