Surgery

Some cancers are treated surgically. This may be in addition to another treatment such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy, or it may be the only treatment required.

Your team of healthcare professionals will give you all the information you need about the procedure to enable you to make an informed decision.

Sometimes a  surgery will take place at a different hospital to the one you were referred to. This is because some hospitals have specialised equipment for certain procedures. This will be fully explained to you, and your clinical nurse specialist will be able to answer any questions you may have.
