Professor Andrew Williams

Archive Curator and Consultant Community Paediatrician at Northampton General Hospital
Dr Williams is an honorary Fellow at the Unit for the History of Medicine, University of Birmingham.
He supervises undergraduate history projects (Universities of Birmingham and Northampton) using material from the Archive.
He welcomes the opportunity to discuss potential projects involving the archive, with anyone who has a serious interest in these matters.
He is also happy to give wide ranging talks on different aspects of the history of medicine, in particular on 18th century hospital child health care within Northampton General Infirmary.
Since 2008, he has worked in collaboration with the University of Northampton (UoN) Drama Department, writing plays on medically controversial matters, which are publicly performed by final year UoN drama students for their assessed degree.

Sue Longworth, Fred O’Dell and Julia Corps are all retired health care professionals. They have a wide knowledge of the collection contents, and specific expertise in their own previous working specialities.
