Hospital-wide recruitment open day for NGH

Northampton’s biggest employer is holding a recruitment open day to showcase the huge range of job opportunities available.

Northampton General Hospital holds regular recruitment days for nursing and medical posts but this time the open day will showcase jobs right across the hospital.

Chief operating officer / Deputy CEO Deborah Needham said: “We’re a multi-million pound organisation and the biggest employer in Northampton town so not surprisingly, we need the right people in the right jobs making it all work.

“Whether it’s based in an office or on a ward, whether it’s operating on a patient or working within x-Ray, whether it’s pushing patients on trolleys or helping women who are in labour, we have a huge range of job opportunities right across the hospital.

“The open day has been organised to give local people the chance to visit us in person, find out more about vacancies and in the case of selected posts, we are even holding interviews on the day.”

Representatives from a variety of teams and departments will be on hand to discuss the various opportunities at the hospital, including:

  • Nursing and healthcare, including the Nurse Bank
  • Pharmacy
  • Radiography
  • Portering
  • Domestics
  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • IT
  • Maternity Services
  • Apprenticeships

Visitors will be able to find out about career support and development as well as benefits such as the NHS pension scheme and the on-site gym and swimming pool. Anyone can drop in on the day, but to fast track an application in advance, job applicants can submit their details via job reference 265-400-15 on the NHS Jobs website.

The open day takes place Northampton General Hospital in the Cripps Post Graduate Centre (area J) from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 10 October.

For more information, members of the public can call the hospital’s HR recruitment centre on 01604 544419.
