Health and Wellbeing events are designed to support you to self-manage from the time you receive your cancer diagnosis, during your treatment and with any long term effects. They are open to all Northamptonshire patients and in most cases their relatives and/or carers too.
These events include:
- Information days at the hospital
- Wellbeing courses in the community
- Online webinars and videos
While events are not currently available in light of the coronavirus pandemic you can still access health and wellbeing support online (see below), by speaking to your Clinical Nurse Specialist or calling the Cancer Information Centre on (01604) 544211.
The Northants Cancer Guide provides information and support on a range of topics from help with practical needs through to emotional concerns with links to organisations that may be able to offer help. There is also a Cancer Pathway Map setting out further information about how your treatment may progress and gives definitions to some of the medical terminology you may enounter.
Health + Wellbeing Support with videos and presentations is available to help with a range of issues. The website is being added to regularly as we increase the number of topics covered. This work is being progressed as quickly as possible and you can register for e-mail alerts by e-mailing the Cancer Recovery Package Team - firstname.lastname@example.org
Our Eventbrite page will be updated once we are able to offer future events and you will be able to book online or by calling the Cancer Information Centre on 01604 544211.
