What should I bring to my appointment?

For an appointment, please bring a list of your current medication.  If you use, or have been prescribed, medication for angina, chest pain or asthma (GTN, inhalers, etc) please ensure you bring them with you.

If you have a wound that may require re-dressing, please bring your dressings with you.

If you are diabetic, it is advisable to bring a drink and a snack with you.

How much time should I allow for my appointment?

The length of time you spend in the vascular studies unit will depend on the number of tests and/or nursing consultation required.  This will vary from 30 minutes to up to an hour and a half.

Do I need any preparation?

No special preparation is needed.  Loose clothing would be helpful.
