Face coverings: our mask wearing guidance has changed as of Wednesday 7 September 2022

Patients, visitors and staff are no longer required to wear a face mask in most areas of the hospital however it is still actively encouraged, especially in high risk areas including Emergency Department (A&E), Renal ward, Haematology / Oncology areas, Critical Care, Immunocompromised Children.

However, to help protect the safety of our most vulnerable patients, Mark Wearing Zones have been introduced in some clinical areas.

Look out for our Mask Wearing Zone signs – they will tell you when you need to wear a mask in our hospital.

Anyone visiting the site is still welcome to wear a mask in any of our hospital buildings.

Mask wearing will remain under review.
