Have you recently undergone cancer treatment?

MAcmillan survey

Our Macmillan team are asking for people who are undergoing or recently completed cancer treatment to help them to develop a new service for patients.
The team are hosting a short 10 minute survey to ask local people to give them their views and feedback about their experience of cancer treatment. Using this feedback the team will be developing new services for patients to access in the future.

We would be very grateful if you could spare a few minutes to help the team to find out your thoughts and opinions. To complete the survey please visit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Cancerpathway

This work is part of the Macmillan Cancer Recovery Package. The Recovery Package has four main interventions. Holistic Needs Assessment and Care Planning, Treatment Summary, Cancer Care Review, and Health and Wellbeing Events. These elements form part of an overall support and self-management package for people affected by cancer – physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle, managing consequences of treatment, and information, financial and work support.

The Recovery Package is recognised in the NHS England Five Year Forward View and the Cancer Taskforce Strategy which outlines a commitment to ensuring that ‘every person with cancer has access to the elements of the Recovery Package by 2020’. The roll out of these interventions will better support and improve the quality of life of people living with and beyond cancer.

The team also have a patient feedback group. Your level of involvement in the group is completely up to you, and you can let the team know your preferences during the registration process. If you're interested in joining this please visit: https://macmillanpfg.eventbrite.co.uk
