UHN men’s health and wellbeing event to bring advice, support and innovation together
A men’s health event to raise awareness of prostate cancer, showcase diagnostic and treatment innovations, and provide health and wellbeing support, is being held at Northampton General Hospital in Movember.
The University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN) Men’s Health and Wellbeing event will take place on Friday 6 November 2026 between midday and 4pm in the Cripps Large Hall, Area J, Northampton General Hospital (NGH).
Visitors will be able to meet our specialist teams, learn more about prostate cancer and access a range of resources from local providers to help men stay healthy for longer.
They can also view some of Northampton General Hospital’s (NGH’s) innovative equipment which has been funded by Northamptonshire Health Charity and is used to help diagnose and treat prostate cancer.
NGH recently became the first NHS hospital in the East Midlands to purchase a new biopsy machine to improve the diagnosis of prostate cancer. Find out more about our expanding suite of diagnostic and treatment equipment for treating NHS patients with prostate cancer.
Mr Chandran Tanabalan, Associate Medical Director for Clinical Efficiency and Productivity and Consultant Urological Surgeon at UHN, said: “This Movember, we are bringing advice, support and innovation together in one place to help men lead healthy lives for longer.
“It is an opportunity for men to learn about prostate cancer and access health and wellbeing support in an informal environment. We are very proud to showcase some of our cutting-edge prostate cancer technology at the event, highlighting our dedication to improving diagnosis and treatment and delivering the best possible care for our patients.”
